Islam teaches us specific methods by which to deal with the passing of our fellow human beings.
There are rules by which we have to conduct appropriate prayers, preparation and burial.
Bereaved families are not always familiar with the spiritual and legal requirements around bereavement.
At the Bolton Council of Mosques we have established a fully supported burial service for the Muslim community that meets both these requirements.

The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) is a non-public body that supports employers in making safer recruitment decisions and helps prevent unsuitable individuals from working with vulnerable children and adults. If you are recruiting paid staff or volunteers to work with children under 18 years of age, a DBS certificate is required.
BCoM is approved by the Disclosure and Barring Service to process DBS checks for all registered organisations. The majority of our applications come from local Mosques and Madrasas, and we act as an authorised signatory body for DBS applications.
Our Charges:
Enhanced DBS Check: £60 (Volunteers: £10)
Standard DBS Check: £32 (Volunteers: £10)
Basic DBS Check: £32 (Volunteers: £10)
Once the DBS form has been completed, an appointment must be arranged for our staff to verify the documents and submit the application.
